| In Memory and Mourning of the Loss of a Longtime friend... |
I don't know where to start ... but today I receive shocking news of a demise of a long time friend Jian Zhong, not particularly close these recent few years but this friend has shared a good part of part of my memories many years back.. back when we were carefree, unrestrained and not to say rebellious.. I recall how I couldn't seem to differentiate between him and Yi when I first met him many many many years (ok..14yrs..) back in HSS.. even when they were standing side by side.. lol ... and I actually once did a "midnight walking tour" of one half of Bukit Batok on one of the CNY nights many years back, courtesy of him! (Unbelievable that I can actually walk that much without screaming my head off at the person next to me till he goes deaf right!) and not to say the "Eileen" incident in JE toilet.. It just feels strange that this person who's part of my memories so vivid, has bowed out from his final performance so abruptly..
This just brings me back to the feeling of receiving the news about Jos in 2004... The heart skips a beat, a moment of disbelief and confusion, then it registers.. the feeling of a sudden loss of a person you've assumed / taken for granted would be there for a long time to come.. Guess life's like that , just don't know when your role on the stage of life might end... Well, that said, I hope I have everyone of my gals stick around on stage with me till then end of the show.. Together we send Yi our Deepest Condolences and hope Zhong is off to a better place, where Jos is too..
